Wendell Smith and his wife Gini are senior pastors of The City Church in Seattle, Washington, a growing, multicultural congregation in the Kirkland community of Eastside Seattle. The Smith planted the church in 1992, moving from the city of Portland, Oregon where they had ministered as associates for over 20 years.

They are the parents of two children and have been active in Christian ministry since 1969, preaching, pastoring, teaching and functioning in prophetic ministry. Both Wendell and Gini have authored books, curriculum and contemporary articles printed in a variety of Christian publications. Pastor Wendell became well known across America through the dynamic Dragon Slayer youth seminars. He has a vision to see Christ's Kingdom on earth manifested in a loving church made up of people of all races, ages and backgrounds. His ministry is marked by relevancy to people of all cultures, transparency, humor, and a prophetic voice to the Body of Christ.
